It's more to me than just taking pictures It's capturing moments in life. I consider myself a contemporary Photogapher. I don't do studios with cheesy backdrops. I do real life. I come to you. I want you in your environment where you feel like you. Then I can capture the true essense of who you are.
I didn't start off as a Photographer. It has always been my hobby, but, I actually have a Degree in Interior Design. The two really aren't that different if you think about it though....you need to be creative and think outside the box...you need to know how colors work together (and don't)...you need to know how size and shape affect your masterpiece...you need to know how light affects it...basically you just have to have a good eye.
I have a handsome husband, a beautiful baby boy, a dog and a cat...and now I have the dream job I've always wanted. Life doesn't get much better!

FAQ about your Senior Session
Q: Where do you shoot your sessions? Do you have a studio?
A: I do not have a studio. I shoot all my photo sessions on-location. You choose the spot. I also have a few favorite spots I like if you just can't choose.
Q: How much is the session fee and when do we pay for it all?
A: The session fee is $150 plus tax and is due the day of your photo session. That includes a 4x6 spiral bound proof book (one image per page), oufit changes and props. The print order payment is due after you select your prints. I will order the prints after I have received payment. The prints will then be sent directly to your home unless other arrangements have been made.
Q: When is the best time to do Senior Portraits and what's your availablity?
A: I like to schedule my sessions on weeknights (Fridays are rain days) The best time of day is two hours before sunset or two hours after sunrise, which is what we Photographers call the 'golden hour", around 7:30 am or 5:30 pm. As far as availability, I'm currently booking for July through fall.
Q: When can we expect our pictures to be completed?
A: You can expect your proofs to be available around 2 weeks after your session. We will then meet to go over your different print options. After you send me your print order and payment you can expect the prints to be sent to you direct in about a week.
I get asked a lot what to wear on photo sessions. I'm a big fan of coordinating colors so I put together some examples of colors I think work well together.
When selecting colors you want to think about the style of session you want. Are you looking for layed back and casual, or more of classic look...will the colors work with the location you have selected? For example...if we're photographing in a green grassy field, avoid wearing green which will blend in with the background. We want you to pop! Also where will these photos be displayed in your home? Will the colors you wear coordinate with the colors of your home?
Try to avoid large patterns or stripes and logos as they will distract from your face which is the area we want to emphasize in your photo.
Ladies this is a tip for you...white will make you look larger and black will slim you...just some words of wisdom...
